Calendars? No! Game boards for my upcoming release, Procrastination. (also, it happens to count for a school project!) I’ll get around to finishing it eventually.
As I was making them, I thought to myself… why not use them as calendars? Sure! So I made it so that the dates on it fit with the 2012 year. I will be printing them on some heavy stock and using them, and I invite you to do so as well! Happy Chinese New Year, you guys.
Ahyoheek is a strategic game played by the people of ancient D’ni. Players compete to collect three of one type of card- pen, page, or beetle.
This is the page card. The latest news is that I have obtained permission to sell these, and they are now available through The Game Crafter.

I hope you guys enjoy these! Thank you so much for all of your support and encouragement through this project. Thanks must also be offered up to my Illustrator girlfriend Chelsea who helped with the color choices, since I can only see shades of red and blue. You should really check out her art blog if you get a chance.
Shorah!

Here’s the full set of Ahyoheek cards. In my attempts to contact Cyan, RAWA himself complimented me on the deck, which was a really good morale boost (at a time when I really needed it- but I won’t bore you with my personal life.)
At any rate, if you’re interested, click here to see my Myst Online: URU Live forum post, where I explain quite a bit about how I made the cards using Illustrator and Photoshop.
NOTE: These are now available through The Game Crafter here!

Hopefully this card set will be available This card set is now available here! soon. I’m just waiting to hear back from Cyan Worlds’ legal department about whether or not I can sell it.
Coming up next is a Renaissance Faire game. This is one of four unique silhouettes I’m working on for the four corners of the board. I’m really excited about this one. I can’t wait to get it out there, and I can’t wait to play it myself!
Edit: This game is on hold until I hear about the next contest. I like the graphics, but I don’t have too much of an idea as to what the gameplay would be, so I’m waiting on the next contest for some inspiration.
Sneak preview of upcoming work.
The Game Crafter’s contest rules state that they will “reject submissions that infringe upon intellectual property, that are excessively vulgar, or that look like they have been slapped together in an afternoon.” As with most restrictions, I see this as more of a challenge than a rule. Now, I’m not a fan of infringement or vulgarity, but I have decided to take the “One afternoon challenge.” That said, I am hoping to have a new game up by the end of the day, just to push my limits, to see what I can do.
